    RA-style
rod seal is a non-symmetrical hydraulic U-Cup type seal. The machined, beveled lip faces the rod to provide both low and high pressures as well as to wipe the rod of the fluid film. Its robust construction makes it particularly well suited for applications in mobile hydraulics.

  • RA/N

    Rod Seals

    Nitrile NBR 90A

    -40/212F [-40/100C]

    2300 PSI [160 BAR]

    autocad_an.png

Similar in design to the standard
RA-styles, the RA/N-style is manufactured out of a fully elastomeric material suitable for pneumatic or low-pressure hydraulic applications only.

  • RC

    Rod  Seals

    Polyurethane 93A

    -40/212F [-40/100C]

    5800 PSI [400 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

Though similar in design and function to the
RA-style, the RC-style has the additional benefit of a secondary dynamic lip located closer to the heel portion of the seal. This feature allows for greater stability in the groove, especially on long strokes, rapid cycling or pressure spikes.

  • RC/30K

  • RC/AER

    Polyurethane/Polyacetal

    -40/212F [-40/100C]

    10 000 PSI [700 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

To protect against high loads, the RC/AER-style adds an anti-extrusion ring on its heel portion that is positively actuated and that effectively closes up the clearance gap, thus protecting the seal against extrusion damage.

  • RE

    Rod Seals

    Polyurethane/Polyacetal/Nitrile

    -40/212F [-40/100C]

    10 000 PSI [700 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

This high-pressure rod seals incorporates both an acetal anti-extrusion ring for pressure protection as well as a unique profiled energizer to ensure lip loading in all conditions. Twin-lip design insures dry rod sealing and added stability in the housing.

  • RH

    Buffer Seals

    Polyurethane/Polyacetal

    -30/230F [-34/100C]

    8500 PSI [584 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

    RH-style
are used as a primary rod seal to be used in conjunction with a secondary, rod-type seal. The buffer ring is used to absorb the initial shock load of the hydraulic system and thus protect the secondary seal. The use of an anti-extrusion ring allows it to withstand high pressures, and its special design avoids pressure-trapping.

  • RV

    Rod Seals

     Nitrile/Neo-Fabric/Polyacetal

    -22/230F [-30/110C]

    10 000 PSI [ 700 Bar ]

    autocad_an.png

    RV-style
is a three-piece unit, comprising of an elastomeric header ring, a fabric-reinforced female adapter and an acetal anti-extrusion ring. Designed to replace standard, stackable vee-packings, the RV seal requires no pre-load, its molded, multiple lip design insures excellent sealing ability especially on high side-load applications

  • RX

    Buffer Seals

    BR.PTFE/Nitrile

    -30/250F [-34/121C]

    5800 PSI [400 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

Consisting of a PTFE sealing element and an elastomeric preloader, this buffer ring is similar to the RZ-style with a lower coefficient of break-out friction, and the possibility to seal in a double-acting application.

  • RZ

    Buffer Seals

    BR.PTFE/Nitrile

    -22/212F [-30/100C]

    5800 PSI [400 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

    RZ-style
has a filled-PTFE stepped-ring on the dynamic face and is pre-loaded by an elastomeric ring, and is used to protect the U-Cup type rod seal against pressure spikes.

  • R5/U

    Cushion Seals

    Polyurethane

    -31/176F [-35/80C]

    300 PSI [20 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

R5/U-Style provide end-of-stroke damping in pneumatic cylinders, eliminating the need for check valves. These polyurethane sealing elements are user friendly and provide quick response in reversedirection, as well as easy, snap-in installation

  • R12

    Buffer Seals

    Nylon/PTFE/Nitrile

    -40/220F [-40/104C]

    5000 PSI [345 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

Similar in function to the RZ-style, this design adds a nylon anti-extrusion ring to allow for higher pressures.

  • R19

    Rod Seals

    Polyurethane

    -22/212F [-30/100C]

    5000 PSI [345 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

R19-style is specifically designed for use in rotary swivel joints, and is manufactured out of high specification polyurethane.

  • R16

    Rod Seals

    BR.PTFE/Nitrile

    -30/250F [-34/121C]

    4400 PSI [300 Bar]

    autocad_an.png

Similar to the RX-style, the R16-style can also be used in rotary applications. The machined grooves on the face of the PTFE ring help retain systems fluid, thereby reducing the coefficient of friction.

  • SD/N ST/N SD/T ST/T

    Back-up Rings

    /N - Nylon

    -40/250F [-40/121C]

    /T - PTFE

    -100/500F [-73/260C]

    autocad_an.png

This series of Back-up Rings are used in conjunction with U-Cup type rod seals as anti-extrusion devices. Available in either solid (SD) or split-ring design (ST), they allow for increased pressures and shock loads in heavy-duty service.
