The 667-style polyurethane, single-acting piston seal for pneumatic applications design incorporates buffers to provide additional cushioning for pneumatic cylinders to prevent metal-to-metal contact at the end of the stroke, particularly if the retardation of the piston by the pneumatic cushion is insufficient. In turn, this additional buffering will reduce end stroke noise.
