The 840-style medium to heavy duty rod wiper is designed to remove heavy deposits of mud, ice and similar contaminants from the rod. The proportions of the knife trimmed wiping lip ensure it always remains in contact with the rod, even where severe side loads exist. The main body features a rib to prevent moisture and other contaminants from passing over the outside diameter.
